White cap in a mycelial mat
Unidentified agaric Uncertain
Angles captured. Five frames from wide context to a low profile.
Morphology
Cap 4–5 cm, white to cream with a slightly buff centre, convex to plane with a wavy, shallowly lobed margin. Stipe white, short, stout, slightly off-centre. The pale grey-green material spreading across the ground around it is not lichen but mycelium — a visible mat running through the litter and over the rock surface for some distance around the fruitbody.
Habitat & substrate
Moss and thin soil over a rock outcrop, with an extensive mycelial mat spread through the surrounding litter.

Another white-capped agaric with no underside shown.
To confirm this identification
Underside and stipe base. Same standing caution as TM0036 — all-white gilled mushrooms include the destroying angels.
Notes
Corrected. The pale material around this mushroom was first read as foliose lichen; it is mycelium. That makes this one of only two records in the guide showing a fruitbody together with the mycelium that produced it — the other being TM0038, and worth comparing. It also means this spot is likely to keep producing.
