Angles captured. Two frames from a similar angle; no underside and no stipe base.
Morphology
Cap 10–12 cm, olive-brown to tan, dry, finely tomentose, broadly convex with a slightly uneven margin. Stipe pale yellow-buff, stout, curved. Pore surface not visible.
Habitat & substrate
Oak leaf litter beside a mossy fallen log; a small white agaric visible nearby.
Lookalikes & what rules them out
Cannot be narrowed without the pore surface.

Photograph the pore surface and check whether it bruises blue — the fastest split within the boletes.
