Angles captured. Two from above on the moss, one low profile showing the stipe.

Morphology

Cap 4–5 cm, white to very pale cream, convex flattening to plane, smooth, margin slightly wavy. Stipe white, short and stout. Flesh appears firm.

Habitat & substrate

Growing out of a thick moss carpet on a large fallen log, ferns nearby.

Lookalikes & what rules them out

White-capped agarics are unresolvable from above. Amanita cannot be excluded.
